IBB Tamboril invites "Stars" to missions banquet
Just about every week the electricity goes off, most of the time during the day but every now and then it happens in the evening.  This has given us several opportunities to look up at the stars from the roof of our apartment.  It is always an amazing time and at this time of year its hard not to remember those legendary stargazers who must have also looked to the heavens in wonder.  Their focus was a single star, a star hidden among many others, but very different.  A star that would lead them to the Light of the World.

Marta takes Club 180 to monument museum
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love as Christ also hath loved us . . Ephesians 5:1-2a  Love is the hallmark of Christian life and the sine qua non of Christian service.  Sine qua non is a Latin term that refers to an indispensable and essential action or ingredient.  The indispensable ingredient of love is exactly what we look for while training full time workers.

Church Growing - 5+ New Albums up on Facebook
It was really great for our team to reunite with our friends from Farmington, New Mexico in Haiti this month. Half of the team from 2011 returned once again to support many different areas of ministry. Being able to advance the construction of the second floor of Bible Baptist Church’s auxiliary building was icing on the cake. The church is growing and we think the 5+...

Members come from up to 30 minutes away to Pastor Dials church which is the only Baptist church in the Don Pedro-Licey-Pontezuela area. Our Toyota Sienna has been used every week close to five years...

Two of boys childhood friends sing special in park
At the southern edge of Havana lies Lenin park which was built by the Cuban government in 1972.  A larger than life marble monument of Vladimir Lenin lies in the park inscribed with these words - “Lenin right from the start was not just a political theorist but a man of action and a man of constant ceaseless revolutionary practice.” - FidelIn that same park the Bible Baptist Church of Guanabacoa met...

Counselors worked Individually with each Camper
Regina and I for over a decade have observed in Costa Rica and Cuba that Christ focused camps are one of the most effective ways of winning teenagers to the Lord.  This and the fact that 64% of people accept Christ before the age of 18 led us to form a partnership with the Rawlings foundation for unsaved youth 12-17 years of age which we call simply - Camp 180° .  On our part we organize and motivate the...

Jordan leads Soldiers (Boys vs. Girls) in a game
The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:4 that  “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” The theme - “Transforming Soldiers” came from this verse and set the tone for the whole week.  Jordan, Regina, Pastor Dial and I, all got to lead multiple children to the Lord in small groups.Attendances were over a 100...

IBB Guanabacoa's youth group activity at Cotorro park
Recently Regina and I received a letter from the newest pastor in the Cuban Fellowship, Pastor Michel Fuentes from IBB Campo Florida. - We are sincerely yours and want to communicate first and foremost that we are praying for you.  As for our Fellowship, we are grateful to the Lord Jesus for the privilege of serving the Lord of the harvest;  Please pray God will raise more laborers.  All the churches...

Over 40% of the Dominican is mired in poverty
The solution for poverty is not more charity, which quickly leads to more dependency.  If we are serious about trying to solve poverty in a certain area then we should not try to “alleviate” it either.  The word, alleviate, means to make easier or to endure.  Basically this kicks the can down the road, it might make you feel better but it does not have any long-term impact that passes to the next...

Pasos del Maestro Grad party album on Instagram
With a deep concern that just a few of our church members knew how to win the lost in our community we started a special evangelistic series on Wednesday nights entitled “Way of the Master”.  We used videos, skits, discussion panels, homework and activities to creatively, step by step, persuade those who signed up for the class to reach family, friends, and strangers for Christ.   With 150,000...

Second Anniversary - 15 Photos added in Facebook
No matter the culture, circumstance or difficulty there is without a doubt a quiet contentment and harmony within a new church celebrating another year serving God. This special peace comes from the Lord when He does the work and not a man. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:14 “Whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear...

Karate at the Timothy Leadership Center
Small groups are a powerful means to bring the lost to Christ. A lot of the children and even adults we have in our churches have lived their lives in fractured families that have hindered them from forming meaningful friendships. This year we are trying to fill that gap in a variety of different small groups that foster close personal interaction which we pray will also lead many to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ....
