Sometimes We Must Go Through The Valley's Featured

Dengue, known as breakbone fever, is a tropical disease transmitted by mosquitos
There is nothing like dengue to make you realize how much you really need to depend on the Lord.  I was just getting into the rhythm of preaching every week again and had just preached in two different churches Sunday morning when after services I felt abnormally weak. At the time I didn't think much about it and continued working that week at moving the family into our new apartment yet was continually tired and weak.  The next Sunday rolled around and we had a "noche de pelicula" (Movie Night) activity in Tamboril.  I'm not sure how I even got through the day but remember having felt the sickest I've ever felt at church in my whole life.  Went home and just couldn't get well, had a rash all over, joint pain, high fever, everything.  Thursday, October 10th (Our 21st Anniversary) Regina took me to the hospital where I learned that I had dengue and the Dr. immediately hospitalized me.  As I recovered each and every one of us:  Tiffany, JuliAnna, Jordan and Regina came down with it.  What a war we have raged in the valley of dengue.  We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps 139:14) yet one of God's smallest creatures can take us out of action for a week and can eventually take our life.  I am so thankful He has made us whole again and we all have a lot more respect for those little mosquitos.  Thank you for praying.
